Administration Condemns 'Democrat Hoax' as Further Jeffrey Epstein Photos Made Public
Democratic lawmakers have published a fresh batch of what they described as "alarming" images from the property of adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, featuring notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 photographs—some of which have been seen before—plus another 70 unveiled later on Friday account for a tiny fraction of the nearly 100,000 images provided to the House investigative panel, which is probing the actions and ties of Epstein.
The shamed investor was a victim of an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being accused of sex-trafficking offenses.
High-Profile Individuals in the Images
Among the high-profile individuals seen in the first release are well-known figures such as movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin empire.
Donald Trump appears in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is seen with six women, whose faces are blacked out.
Administration Statement
The White House addressed the release in a statement, accusing Democrats of purposefully "choosing" the images for partisan aims and to "seek to establish a false narrative."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been time and again refuted," a presidential representative said, maintaining that "the current government has achieved more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats have ever done by frequently urging openness, releasing reams of documents, and demanding further investigations into Epstein's Democrat friends."
Congressional Democrat Comment
The photographs were disclosed lacking captions, but per a California Democrat and senior member of the oversight committee, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's links with affluent people.
"Now is the occasion to end this White House obfuscation and bring justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his well-connected allies," he declared in a release.
The release of these images coincides with the oversight committee proceeding with its investigation into the affair.
