This strategic shift follows major restructuring at the state-funded body, including the departure of its previous CEO last month after both employee protests and official demands for strategic overhaul.

Rising Online Risks

The latest project comes amid growing concern about the nation's susceptibility to internet outages and digital assaults.

Recent situations have highlighted these risks, including a significant disruption affecting global cloud computing and fresh digital assaults that disrupted production at major factories and logistics systems across multiple companies.

Leadership and Oversight

A previous senior officer of the UK's air and space warfare centre will report back next month on how the government-funded institute can most effectively assist the extent of national AI objectives in national security, national security and intelligence.

Organizational Refocusing

The center's head, a former Amazon UK boss, confirmed that nearly eighty separate studies at the organization with 440 employees have been closed, spun out or finished because they aren't consistent with the new direction.
