Iranian Forces State Assault on US Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, During Regional Military Operations.
Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Manama, as the country executed missile attacks throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a "massive" and ongoing offensive against it by the United States and Israeli forces.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an area close to the command center of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The full scale of any damage is unclear and the US has not commented.
Regional Interceptions
Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to US military bases - reported they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their airspace.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence announced it had intercepted a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the Middle East.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was attacking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the offensive on Iran initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That US-Israeli operation - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck locations linked to the the regime, with President Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the government.

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces said it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates stated that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems responded to the missiles with high efficiency and shot down a number of missiles," it added.
The statement noted wreckage landed in a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, causing some property damage and killing a civilian.
The United States Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
