A renowned South African media personality and entertainer has been murdered in the nation's economic hub Johannesburg, triggering widespread grief across a nation battling rampant crime.
Warrick Stock, widely recognized as DJ Warras, was gunned down in the central business district on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities reported the forty-year-old media personality was approached by three individuals, with one opened fire on him before escaping on foot.
The reason behind the incident remains unclear and no suspects have been apprehended have taken place, police said.

Authorities revealed that Stock was ambushed as he was leaving a premises in the vicinity of the Carlton Centre.
